English Author Don JankeSince 2002, Mr. Janke has been a Business Broker & Consultant specializing in representing buyers and sellers of Internet Business Opportunities. His background is 20 years in the online/Internet industry.

Mr. Janke has received the Los Angeles Business Journal’s “Who’s Who in Broadband” award; has received Boardwatch Magazine’s “Opening Markets” award; and has been a recipient of the Kagan Pay TV Newsletter “Marketing Achievement” award. He has been the subject of numerous articles including FSB (Forbes Small Business), The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and Entrepreneur Magazine.

Prior to becoming a Business Broker, Mr. Janke was the founder and President of Internet Ventures, Inc., a $7 Million annual revenue exurban dial-up and broadband ISP (Internet Service Provider) that acquired more than two dozen Internet companies since its formation in 1995.

Prior to the formation of Internet Ventures, Mr. Janke served as Manager of Cable Marketing for Prodigy Services Company (a joint venture of IBM and Sears) from December, 1993 through April, 1995. In that capacity he led the technical and market trials of high-speed on-line service (broadband) via cable; including Cox Communications in San Diego and Omaha, and Viacom in Castro Valley, CA. From 1988-1993, Mr. Janke was Prodigy’s senior marketing executive for southern California, marketing the service to retail distribution channels, major Hollywood studios, and travel companies.

In 1984, Mr. Janke served as president of CVN Infonet, Inc., “America’s Local Electronic Newspaper”. From 1980 to 1984, he was director of marketing, regional sales manager, sales representative for Palmer Communications, Century Communications, and US Cable, respectively. Mr. Janke also serves as a Senior Adviser to New Media Capital Ltd, a venture funding source for New Media producers.

He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a major in Communication Arts. He later attended the University of Southern California (USC) to pursue a Masters in Business. He is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Institute.
